1. For the pancakes: sift the flour and salt into a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the middle of the flour and add eggs with half the milk and water. Whisk until the mixture is lump free. Add the remaining milk and whisk again until smooth. Add the melted butter. Pour the batter into a jug.

2. Heat a 20cm diameter non-stick frying pan until hot, drizzle a little oil over the centre and wipe it around with a piece of kitchen paper. Now pour a little of the batter into the pan and immediately tilt the pan to spread the batter thinly and evenly over the base. Cook for two minutes or until the top is set and the base golden. Turn the pancake over with a spatula or by flipping. Repeat until all the batter has been used.

3. For the filling: place the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over a pan of gently simmering water (don’t let the bowl touch the water), stirring occasionally. When the chocolate has melted, remove from the heat and stir in 200ml cream and a handful of the nuts.

4. Whisk the remaining cream. Mash the bananas and mix with the lemon juice.

5. Place a pancake onto a plate. Spread some chocolate sauce over the pancake and top with some banana and some cream. Top with another pancake. Keep doing this until all the cream and chocolate and banana have been used. You can chill this for three to four hours or overnight.

6. When ready to serve place the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over a pan of gently simmering water, stirring occasionally. When both are melted, remove from the heat and beat until glossy, then spread over the pancake stack. Sprinkle the top with the crushed chocolate Flake bar. Slice and serve.

Angelic helps raise money for Christies Charity in Bolton!
January saw Angelic take part in a great cause, raising money for Christies at a charity event hosted at The Bar in Bolton.

Guests were invited to try our luxurious chocolate fountain, plus take part in a charity raffle and be served cocktails and champagne by sexy Bunny Girls and Buff Butlers! The evenings entertainment also included a DJ set, stilt dancer and the chance to have your picture taken with Christie Bear, the charities official mascot.

The night was well received by everyone who came along, with much dancing and merriment all round! If you would like to book Angelic for your next charity event to help raise money for a good cause, then email us at tavia@angelicchocolatefountain.co.uk.

Chocolate Facial winner spills the (chocolate) beans!
The lucky winner of our fabulous Chocolate Facial competition back in October, Sheryl Carolen, has been filling me in on her wonderful day with Spa Satori and her experience of what has to be the ultimate chocolate indulgence without all those sinful calories.

“It was lovely to chill out before the Christmas break, and the facial was very relaxing – I nearly fell asleep” Sheryl commented. “I’ve had back massages before, but never a facial so it was a lovely change.”

Sheryl opted for the luxurious head massage whilst the chocolate face mask was working its magic, and even managed to resist licking her lips! When asked if she would have another chocolate facial in the future, Sheryl gave us a resounding “yes” and said she might indulge again as a pre-wedding treat.

Congratulations again Sheryl for winning, and all the team at Angelic wish you the best for your big day in 2013.
